Eligibility Criteria
Review the following requirements before submitting your film.
- Bengali communities from around the world are welcome
- Content can be multilingual or in any other language
- Subtitles are required for all submissions
- Films must be completed after 1 January 2020
- Films should not have been previously released theatrically in Australia
- Filmmakers of any nationality are encouraged to submit

How to Submit
Three simple steps — share your film via Google Drive and fill in the form. No fees, from any country.
Upload to Google Drive
Upload your finished film (with subtitles) to your Google Drive. High-quality H.264 or ProRes files are preferred.
Share the link
Right-click the file, choose Share, and set access to “Anyone with the link” as Viewer. Copy the link.

No. All submissions are completely free for our inaugural year, for filmmakers from every country.
Share a high-quality H.264 (MP4) or Apple ProRes file via your Google Drive link. If your film is selected, we will contact you about a screening copy (DCP preferred for theatrical presentation).
Yes — subtitles are required for all submissions so our programming team and Australian audiences can follow every film. Burned-in English subtitles are the safest option.
Yes, world and Australian premieres are preferred but not required. We welcome films that have screened at other festivals internationally — as long as they have not been released theatrically in Australia.
Selections for the official programme will be announced in October 2026. All submitting filmmakers will be notified of the outcome via email.
Yes, you are welcome to submit multiple films. Simply fill in the submission form once for each film — every entry is free.
