IBFFA — International Bangla Film Festival Australia

Accessibility

Our commitment to an accessible festival and website for everyone

Draft — under review by the IBFFA board.

Last updated: July 2026

The International Bangla Film Festival Australia (IBFFA) is a festival for everyone. We are committed to making our website, venues, and events as accessible as possible, and to removing barriers to participation wherever we can.

Our Website

We are working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This includes sufficient colour contrast, keyboard navigability, meaningful alternative text for images, clear focus indicators, and content that works with screen readers. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we review the site regularly as it grows.

Our Venues & Events

As we confirm festival venues for November 2026, we are committed to:

  • Selecting venues with step-free access and accessible seating options
  • Providing accessible toilet facilities at festival venues
  • Publishing clear accessibility information for each venue and session before tickets go on sale
  • Offering companion card arrangements for attendees who require support
  • Working towards captioned and subtitled screenings wherever possible

Tell Us What You Need
